A note from the farm

Armstrong’s Cricket Farm has switched from the brown house cricket (Acheta domesticus) to the banded cricket (Gryllodes sigillatus).

Banded crickets are hardier in heat and humidity, hold up better in shipping, and stay a strong live feeder for reptiles, amphibians, and fishermen. Same farm, same live-delivery standard — a tougher cricket.

Some photos and product images on this site still show the old Acheta cricket. We are working through those now. If a picture does not match what arrives in the box, the cricket in the box is the new banded stock.
