Use Foam or Plastic Donuts for your watering device to prevent drowning.
These are the same watering device rings we use in our operation that prevent crickets from drowning.
Plastic donuts might need to be doubled or tripled in order to prevent drowning depending on the size of the feeder insects.
Foam donuts must be thoroughly rinsed with water before use. A detergent is present in the foam and must be removed. Simply squeeze the donut repeatedly until running water until no suds or bubbles appear; this process does take a little time and effort. Not removing the detergent will cause losses to feeder insects.
